Ok, so this wasn't an official Dad's Night. For one thing, it wasn't even on a Thurdsday. What it was, was Dan, "P" and I agreeing to get together for some serious drinking. And ya know, sometimes that's what the situation calls for.
I have no great love for this joint, but it is close to "P's" place, it does have draft, and it's not so crowded that you just want to scream! Actually, for me the night started over at "P's" crib, where we gargled down righteous Scotch. Feeling enlivened, we walked the block from Fourth to Third Ave. Dan soon joined us. I have no idea what we were drinkin' (I confess, I did not keep very good notes here...).
Bar None always has a cast of characters and this night was no exception. Come to think of it, the three of us probably topped the list. The clientelle seems to be mostly young professionals and NYU students. We met these two Indian dudes from the 'burbs. They joined us and lots of hilarity ensued all fueled by pints of draft. Some girl, Patty assumed we were trustworthy types, so she gave us her coat. The cleavage waitress came by to offer us shots, but we steadfastly refused (until the accumulation of alchohol wore down our resolve).
My memory of the night must have been somewhat foggy, because the next day I looked at the pictures and I saw this other girl (who I'm told was named "Mia") sitting at our table and carousing with us. Swear to God, I have no recollection of any of this, yet I have the pictures to prove I was there (at least in a physical state)!
